Trump Word(s) For The Day: High Crimes And Misdemeanors

High Crimes and Misdemeanors

As part of my patriotic duty I will begin sharing the word(s) of the day to help our President prepare for what’s coming. Because he doesn’t seem to attach the same meaning to words like honesty, news, Constitution and transparency. I feel that if given a little time to consider the actual meanings of words he can do better. I will provide both the common definition and when applicable the urban translation. Today’s words: High crimes and misdemeanors

Definition: The charge of high crimes and misdemeanors covers allegations of misconduct peculiar to officials, such as perjury of oath, abuse of authority, bribery, intimidation, misuse of assets, failure to supervise, dereliction of duty, unbecoming conduct, and refusal to obey a lawful order. Offenses by officials also include ordinary crimes, but perhaps with different standards of proof and punishment than for non officials, on the grounds that more is expected of officials by their oaths of office.

Examples: Lying under oath, lying to the FBI, cashing in on the Presidency while still President, disobeying court orders, grabbing women by their private parts, selling the country out to Russia, threatening the Special Counsel, obstructing justice, tweeting.
