I Beg Your Pardon… Dad

“So Dad, if I get indicted for some of the stuff I did for you, will pardon me?”

“It’s not as simple as that Junior. If I pardon you, my lawyers tell me it will almost certainly lead to impeachment against me? It will look like obstruction.”

“But I was doing what you told me to do?”

“I know son… it’s complicated. Just believe I know what’s best.”

“I’ve heard you say the same things to Paul and now he’s in jail?”

“You’re different, you’re my son, I’d never let you down.”

“You once practically disowned me, you didn’t speak to me for a few years.”

“You started it.”

“I was a kid, and you were blasting my mother in the tabloids during your divorce.”

“That was just tough negotiating, I had to get the alimony down.”

“Because your kids might have too much stuff?”

“No, because your mother doesn’t have the head to manage so much money.”

“So it was for her own good?”

“Right”

“So what about my pardon?”

“I told you it’s complicated.”

“You pardoned fucking Joe Arpaio and won’t pardon your own son?”

“Did you do it?”

“I didn’t write that letter you dictated on Air Force One. I just stuck to the story you made up. Now I’m about to be charged with lying to the FBI.”

“You should never lie to the FBI. You should have just done like me and refused to talk to them.”

“All of us don’t have that option.”

“I’ve screwed up my life trying to support you.”

“I didn’t tell you to mess up your marriage by having an affair with that woman from The Apprentice. I told you to ‘cut it out’ as a matter of fact.”

“Oh, do as I say and not as I do! Your whole life has been an example to me.”

“I think you’d better watch your tone, son.”

“Or what? You won’t pardon me?

“Pretty much.”

“Good talk dad.”

Trump Word For The Day: Non-Disclosure

The Trump word for the day is Non-Disclosure. After spending weeks creating distractions trying to keep his affair with porn star Stormy Daniels out of the headlines. Trump gets the double whammy of stories that Stormy Daniels passed a lie-detector test and that former Playboy model Karen McDougal wanted out of her non-disclosure to be able to tell her story.

a a a a a a a a a stormy lie detector

McDougal sold her story of an affair with Trump in 2006 to the National Enquirer for $150,000 who then sat on the story to protect Trump. McDougal claims she was misled about the contents of the agreement and “tricked into signing it.”

According to Stormy Daniels lawyer, six other women have come forward with tales similar to hers and it appears the dam is about to burst regarding Trump’s escapades. In a related matter, Trump’s son Donald Jr is divorcing his wife amidst tales of his affair with a Celebrity Apprentice contestant, Aubrey O’Day.

The dictionary definition of “Manwhore” includes, ” a promiscuous man who has no regard for his sexual partners or the emotional value of his relationships.” That would include the relationships with their wives. That Donald Trump has been promiscuous is no surprise, the shock is that he’s been so damn sloppy. Porn Star Jessica Drake claims Trump kissed her against her will at the same golf tournament Stormy Daniels attended. This after allegedly offering Drake $10,000 to have sex.

Donald Trump is a manwhore, his base won’t care, the Republican Party won’t care, the religious right will look the other way, but as a public service, I’m keeping this story alive because people need to know. The next Playmate or porn star he meets might want to be informed of his behavior, or at least know the going rate for silence.

Breaking News: In yet another matter, a New York judge is allowing the defamation lawsuit by former Apprentice contestant, Summer Zervos, to go forward. She accused Trump of groping her and, “unwanted sexual contact” and the judge ruled there is sufficient cause for that action to proceed.

Why Trump Must Fire Mueller

Trump really has no choice, the Mueller investigation is slowly but surely closing in on him and what little hope he had that his financial crimes, his obstruction, and even collusion will go undetected is quickly fading. Pick your metaphor from “The Tell-Tale Heart,” Whether Mueller is the man with the clouded, pale, blue, vulture-like eye who distresses Trump to the point where he has to destroy him, or he’s like the heartbeat under the floorboards. Growing ever louder while others seem not to notice, driving him slowly insane.

a a a a a a a a a fire mueller

Trump is getting little sleep, he wanders the halls of the White House at night, shouting at televisions, calling his increasingly short list of friends as they try to distance themselves from the inevitable. Each day news breaks about new uncovered relationships or meetings, a handwritten letter to Putin that only someone very close could have disclosed, or Putin himself? There’s no one to trust. Even Jared might sell him out to protect himself. Isn’t that what he would do in the same situation after all?

a a a a a a a a melanniiaaa

Trump’s always been a risk taker. Never discouraged by failure even after watching several businesses go belly up. Like the Phoenix he always rose again, finding someone else’s money to launch a new venture. Cheating one person and not paying another. That Russian money was a lifesaver after no reputable bank would touch him. Now the chickens have come home to roost.

Mueller is closing in. He’s got the Deutsche Bank records, the Trump Organizations records, his damn taxes he never intended anyone to see. Now there’s a subpoena for more records, going right to the heart of the crimes Trump knows he’ll find. He hasn’t interviewed Donald Jr yet, will his son stand by his side or turn on him too, Et Tu Junior?

a a a a a donalala

Firing Mueller is the only answer. He would do it better than Nixon, whose similar plan didn’t work for him. The odds are that Congress will scream and howl, but ultimately do nothing. Ryan and McConnell will take what he dishes out as they always have. His base will stand by him, he thinks he really could shoot someone on 5th Avenue with no consequences.

a-trunu

Yes, there will eventually be a replacement Special Counsel appointed, but one he could control, unlike Mueller. Working under the new sycophant that replaced the weak Sessions who never should have recused himself anyway. The new Special Counsel will pretend to toil away for a few months and close up shop, filing a report that the Justice Department will never release. That’s the plan, he has to do it, because to do nothing is to wait for the day when they come for him, and they will unless he fires Mueller. What could possibly go wrong?

Jail ages Trump

Hope Hicks Is Having A Very, Very, Very Bad Year!

Donald Trump answered, “Why? You’ve already done enough for him. You’re the best piece of tail he’ll ever have!”

The rough time Hope Hicks is having extends back a bit more than a year. During the Presidential campaign, when her on-again, off again, boyfriend Corey Lewandowski was being dragged thru the press after being charged with misdemeanor battery (grabbing a female reporter) and constantly making news, overshadowing his sensitive boss, Donald Trump. In a meeting with Trump and his eldest sons, Hick wondered aloud, “what she could do to help?” Donald Trump answered, “Why? You’ve already done enough for him. You’re the best piece of tail he’ll ever have!” Hicks allegedly ran from the room.

a a a a a a hopecorey

In July of 2017, Hope Hicks, now Director of Strategic Communications for the White House, found herself on a flight back from Germany on Air Force One when news broke about a Trump Tower meeting involving Donald Trump, Jr., Paul Manafort, Jared Kushner, and several Russians. She participated in the drafting of a false statement, dictated by the President, that she has had to testify about before the Mueller investigation and lawyer up at exorbitant cost.

Speed up to the present, Hope Hicks is now involved with White House Staff Secretary Rob Porter, one of the few people in the Administration not publicly implicated in the Russia probe and rarer still, perceived to be doing his job well. Then a British publication comes out with allegations that he physically abused both his ex-wives along with a photo of one with a black eye. It seems that Chief-of-Staff John Kelly knew, the FBI knew and had previously reported this to White House officials, what are the odds that Hope knew before finding out in the press? Once again finding herself drafting statements supporting someone she was involved with.

a a a a a a hoerobp

Based on her background before working with Donald Trump which was working on Ivanka’s staff. She was unprepared for the job in the first place. She’s seen two boyfriends decimated in the press and listened to widespread rumors linking her romantically to the President himself. Her previous statements about the Donald Trump, Jr. Meeting has been publicly refuted by someone about to testify before Mueller, suggesting a possible perjury charge.

Hope Hicks is having a very bad year.

What Went Wrong When Bannon Tried To Testify And How House Republicans Were Complicit

So, Steve Bannon voluntarily appeared before the House Intelligence Committee, offering to answer their questions. He brought his lawyer as would be expected, but that evolved into a situation where his lawyer was calling White House attorneys, getting permission to answer each and every question. Before it was over, the White House had exerted Executive Privilege on conversations Bannon participated in during the transition (before Trump was the Executive). While Bannon worked in the White House. Even after Bannon was fired and no longer officially associated with Trump. This was an assertion of privilege that far exceeded anything ever claimed before. Despite being issued a subpoena on the spot, Bannon could not be persuaded to answer questions, promising however to answer all questions from the Mueller probe which has also issued him a subpoena.

But that isn’t the worst of it. It seems the White House had negotiated a deal with the House Intelligence Committee limiting the scope of the questions and when the questions began to exceed the pre-arranged limits, the White House shut it down. I should add that the Democrats on the committee were unaware of the secret arrangement, allowing the Republicans to continue to protect the President which has always been their goal. Republican leaders on the same committee have been actively trying to find out everything Special Counsel Mueller knows, presumably to leak the information to the Trump team.

a a a a a bannoonno

In a related story. Former Trump Campaign Manager Corey Lewandowski testified today before the same committee. Although he promised on Fox News he’d be answering any and all questions. It seems he too got non-responsive when it came time to actually give answers.

Before the interview was shut down, Bannon did reveal he had been in discussions with Reince Priebus, Sean Spicer, and Trump outside lawyer Mark Corallo about the June 2016 meeting Donald Jr. held in Trump Tower with a Russian attorney.

a a a a a bannonn

Of the things, we do know, Bannon hoods a grudge against both Jared Kushner and Donald Trump, Jr. We don’t know how he feels about the man who fired him, who has recently tried his best to throw him under the bus. Bannon has a story to tell and seems more than willing to tell it… to the right audience.

Fathers and Sons

Michael Flynn and Michael Flynn, Jr

a a a a fathers

“The SJW (Social justice warriors) are out in full this morning, the disappointment on your faces when I don’t go to jail will be worth all your harassment.”

Michael Flynn, Jr recently tweeted these words and they may very well be true. His father, Michael Flynn, former National Security Advisor to Donald Trump, plead guilty to charges of lying to the FBI. It’s part of a deal where the Sr. Flynn was not charged with several other offenses for which there was evidence, in return for cooperating with Special Counsel Robert Mueller and providing everything he knows about the Trump campaign, transition team, and administration and their dealings with Russia. Part of the deal seems to be that his son will not be charged. It’s possible that the whole impetus for Flynn was to save his son.

Michael Flynn spent 33 years in the US Army, achieving the rank of Lieutenant General, serving all over the world. Like many career officers, he spent much of that time away from home. I won’t speculate about the relationship between Flynn and his son’s. He is close to Michael Jr and a bit distant from his other son Matt. It is Michael Jr who he made CEO of his company and who he’s potentially saving from jail.

Michael doesn’t appear to be the most appreciative of sons. He’s the same one that tweeted and retweeted racist memes. His father brought him into the transition team until his conspiracy theory tweets got him ousted. He may not have noticed that the price of his freedom was a felon for a father who may still face jail time.

Charles Kushner and Jared Kushner

a a a a fathersss

Charles Kushner isn’t your average family man. In 2004 he pleaded guilty to a tax fraud scheme, claiming hundreds of thousands of dollars in phony deductions. He also retaliated against someone he believed to be a cooperating witness, his sister. He set up his brother-in-law with a prostitute. Had pictures taken along with videotape, and sent them to her as payback. He also made illegal campaign contributions in the name of others without their knowledge.

Jared Kushner was a Harvard student at the time and found he had to step up and take a larger role in the family business. He visited his father regularly during his two years in prison. He didn’t blame his father, he blamed the media, making him truly fit for the Trump family and administration.

Jared now is facing the real prospect that his three children; Arabella, Joseph, and Theodore, will soon have to visit him in a Federal prison. The crime Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to was lying to the FBI. It is likely that Jared has already done at least that, without even considering the financial crimes he may be tied to with Russian mobsters. General Flynn has been charged with only one count of lying to the FBI because he has become a cooperating witness, presumably against a bigger target. Should Jared wish a similar sentence, there’s only one larger target in the White House. His father-in-law, Donald Trump.

Donald Trump and Donald Trump, Jr

a a a a fathersssss

It’s not a compliment, but Donald Jr is seen as the brighter of Trump’s sons. Not bright enough to have kept from arranging and attending clandestine meetings with Russians. Some including Michael Flynn and Jared Kushner. “Donnie” has a habit of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time and the likelihood that he hasn’t lied to the FBI already is slim indeed. He strikes me as having the arrogance and pretentiousness to believe he’s too smart to get caught. I think I’ll bet on Mueller. His father has been able to cover up his son’s poor judgment in the past. Bad real estate deals in South Carolina, homophobic comments and more. In what seems like a trend, he’s also retweeted Neo-Nazi and skinhead memes to his like-minded followers.

The question is, will his father be willing to make the same kind of sacrifice that Michael Flynn made for his son? Is there any suggestion that Donald Trump has that kind of love for anyone besides himself? My bet is that Trump will let every member of his administration including sons, daughter, and son-in-law, take a bullet before he acknowledges any wrongdoing. It’s not in his DNA.

a a a a fatheeee

The tempo of the Mueller investigation has picked up. Fathers and Sons are having to make choices they’ll have to live with for the rest of their lives. After pleading guilty in Federal Court, Michael Flynn went directly to his son’s home. Jared Kushner and wife Ivanka, have silently left Washington, DC and returned to New York. Mueller knows where they are. Donald Trump, Jr has been silent today as has his father. The elder Trump skipped a meeting with the press and is reportedly fuming in the White House over Flynn’s betrayal. He hasn’t tweeted a solitary thing. Family bonds are being tested, another type of bonds, bail-bonds, may soon be needed as well.

Who Will Go To Jail First? Take The Poll

Grand Juries are impaneled, subpoenas have been issued, testimony is being given, two men have been indicted and another has pled guilty. His sentence, however, may be as little as zero because he is providing evidence against others. My question is, “Who will be the first to actually go to jail?”
