Trump Brings Back Federal Executions. “The Ratings Will Be Huge!” (Mostly Parody)

Attorney General William Barr announced the return of Federal Executions almost twenty years after the last execution. The process of reinstating the death penalty after almost twenty years will involve an administrative review and establishment of execution rules including drug protocol and amounts for lethal injections and surviving present and future legal challenges. The Department of Justice was asked by the last Attorney General Jeff Sessions, to find a way to reinstate executions which they announced today.

At a hastily called press conference. President Trump announced the first five executions will be televised, beginning in December to coincide with the birth of Christ. The first five include three white men (including a member of a white supremacist group that killed a family of three), one black man and a Native American. Trump later apologized to white supremacists and assured them that future executions will consist of mostly minorities.

In related news, a no-bid contract was issued to the Trump Organization to handle all television rights and event management. Spokesman Eric Trump pointed to their experience with the Miss Universe Pageant and said he was encouraged by early discussions with pay-per-view companies. After the initial five, future executions will be programmed to run against future Democrat debates and primaries. He planned to continue but lost his train of thought.

When questioned about the controversial three-drug cocktail previously used in Federal executions. Trump said, “We’re just going to use one drug, it’s called pentobarbital, and it’s the number one drug for killing people, we are also going to look at bringing back hanging and firing squads. Maybe we’ll have a drawing the day before. I think we’ll have Ivanka pull a card out of a bowl, wouldn’t that be great? The ratings will be huge!”

Despite the announcement of specific dates for the executions, beginning December 9th. Given the administrative processes to be completed and pending and likely future lawsuits. The five convicts can feel secure in making plans for Christmas, New Years, and the Fourth of July.

What The Hell Do You Have To Lose? Why Trump’s Census Question Matters

According to the White House (which is always suspect), the Jeff Sessions Justice Department requested a question about citizenship be added to the 2020 Census. The Census is conducted by the government every 10 years and among other things is used to allocate Congressional Districts and Federal resources to States. The Justice Department said:

“This data is critical to the Department’s enforcement of Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act and its important protections against racial discrimination in voting. To fully enforce those requirements, the Department needs a reliable calculation of the citizen voting-age population in localities where voting rights violations are alleged or suspected.”

Even the concept of this Justice Department looking to enforce the Voting Rights Act is laughable. In 2013, when the Supreme Court gutted the enforcement provisions of the Act, Sessions called it, “good news for the South.” He elsewhere claimed that Shelby County which sued to terminate enforcement provisions, “never had a history of denying the vote, certainly not now.” Sessions did famously take credit for Civil Rights prosecutions while he was the Alabama Attorney General, in which he played no role.

The Citizenship question has appeared on the Census before, though not on the long form given to the general public since 1950. My first question was, how has the citizenship information been used in the past? My research provided no answer but in today’s Washington Post it was revealed that the Census Bureau provided block by block data on the location of Japanese-Americans living in California, Arizona, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, and Arkansas.

For decades the Census Bureau denied its participation and that it had released confidential information but not so surprisingly they lied. Ask yourself, would Donald Trump and/or Jeff Sessions feel a bit of remorse about using census data to round up undocumented aliens? In 2007, the proof was discovered that the Commerce Department had lists with names and addresses of those with Japanese ancestry. The Second War Powers Act made the release of that information between agencies legal if not moral. The Census Bureau refrain has changed from “we didn’t do it” to “it wasn’t illegal.”

The basis for much of the criticism of the citizenship question is that fears that the government will do what it is now known already has, will lead to a significant undercount. That will redistribute resources and Congressional seats from blue states to red ones and possibly impact control of the House of Representatives. Of course, if you acknowledge an undocumented person is in your home, the government might come to your door. If they’ve done it before, why would we believe that this President and Attorney General wouldn’t do it again?

Trump Makes It Clear, Black and Brown People Are From “Shithole Countries.”

In a meeting with lawmakers on immigration in the Oval Office. Donald Trump asked, “Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” He finally said out loud which few others have said directly when he suggested we should bring more people “from countries like Norway.”

a a aaa shithole

His comments came after lawmakers floated the idea of restoring protections for people from Haiti, El Salvador, and some African countries after Trump unilaterally rescinded them, sending hundreds of thousands of people back to those countries beginning next year. There are predominantly white countries receiving the same sorts of protections which weren’t rescinded and the answer is now very clear. Their people look more like those from Norway.

Trump’s and Sessions immigration policy has always been about race and now there can be no doubt. We always knew what, “Make America Great Again” meant, and now he’s gone and made it official that he means, Make America White! While Trump is the poster boy, its long been part of the Republican Platform to oppose immigration from countries of color as they’ve been blocking comprehensive immigration reform for well over a decade. No doubt some elected officials will come forward and denounce the President’s words yet continue to adopt the policies supporting them.

a a aaa shittthole

Since he took office I’ve been wondering if I would ever find something this President did I could support. I can now say yes, he told the truth for all to see. May he be Impeached and deported to a shithole country and given the reception he deserves.

Trump Word For The Day: Obstruction

The first rule of obstruction is that you don’t talk about obstruction. When Donald Trump went to FBI Director James Comey to ask him to drop the investigation of Michael Flynn. He talked about it. He told Reince Priebus, then his Chief-of-Staff, who made handwritten notes which are now in the hands of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

a a a a a obstructionn

After he fired Comey and Attorney General Jeff Sessions was being pressured to recuse himself because of his role in the Trump campaign. He told the White House Counsel Don McGahn, to lobby Jeff Sessions to not recuse himself so that he could protect Trump.

a a a a a obstrucktion

The new book written by Michael Wolff quotes multiple Republicans from his own staff and alleged close friends, that describe Trump as “stupid,” a “moron,” and an “idiot.” They were right!

A House Without Honor

We’ve officially run out of hope there was anyone in the White House with some semblance of honor. None we can trust in discussing the smallest of matters, let alone the big ones. The nation knew what it was getting in Donald Trump, serial cheater with an extensive background of sexual assault and financial bad faith. Liar extraordinaire.

Let Them Eat Cake

There was some hope that those around him would do better, perhaps appeal to his better self should it exist. We were told he’d assembled an excellent National Security team. Men of honor who would put country first ahead of politics. Flynn, Tillerson, Pompeo, and Mattis. Gen. Mike Flynn lasted 24 days before resigning after reports of undisclosed meetings with Russians and being an undeclared foreign agent for Turkey. Tillerson has presided over the gutting of the State Department and the world sees him as castrated, unable to speak for the President without being overridden by a tweet. Pompeo recently proclaimed the Intelligence Agencies concluded Russia had no impact on the Presidential election when they said no such thing. Mattis initially fought the good fight but soon crumbled. becoming just another sycophant. Pence sold his soul long ago and Sessions is on a one=man tear to bring back mass incarceration and further legalize voter suppression. Carson is a joke!

The professional liars that speak for the President; Spicer and Scaramucci are long gone, soulless Sanders misinforms us now with guest appearances on television by Kellyanne. Bannon left but exerts more power on the President and his Party than ever before. Someone has to coordinate with the Neo-Nazis, skinheads, and white supremacists.

They told us Ivanka would be a good influence, promoting women’s issues, child care and protecting dreamers. Having influence on none of those things, she’s settled for her new business deals with China. Her free time is spent on her hidden e-mail account on a private server and talking with her new criminal attorney.

Jared was that bright young man that was our next, best hope. It seems he’s had even more Russian contacts than Flynn and almost as many conflicts of interest as his father-in-law. He hired some of the best criminal defense attorneys in the country, beating the run on criminal lawyers by pretty much the rest of the Administration as they ready themselves for Special Counsel Mueller’s questions. We won’t mention Manafort who didn’t even make it through the campaign before millions in Ukranian cash payments from pro-Putin oligarchs tripped him up. The FBI assures him he’ll be indicted.

Manafort under the bus

It seemed the only honorable person left in the White House was Gen. Kelly. That was before he stood behind the White House podium and lied about a speech by Congresswoman Frederica Wilson. Of course, Sarah Huckabee Sanders stands by the lie which makes it doubly false. He was “stunned” that the Congresswoman, “listened in” to a call from the President to the widow of a fallen Green Beret. This while Kelly and “several others” according to Sanders were listening in when the President made the call.

There is nobody left we can hope to believe about anything. I’m waiting patiently until we get to the stage where we have public testimony in the Russia hearings. Lie then!

Bannon’s Gone… So What?

Steve Bannon was effectively fired by Donald Trump today. While many rightfully celebrate the departure on one of the main “deplorable’s.” The basket is still quite full along with the man who gleefully assembled them. As long as Donald Trump is still President, Jess Sessions is Attorney General, Stephen Miller, Sebastian Gorka, et al have influence, there can be no sigh of relief.

a a racisst

Bannon is already back at Breitbart News where his racist, xenophobic message, will carry more weight than before. Just because Trump is allegedly rid of Bannon, it doesn’t mean he won’t still be whispering in Trump’s ear, or that Breitbart won’t replace The National Enquirer as Trumps main published news source. We saw Corey Lewandowski leave, yet return at crucial moments and act as if he never went away.

The White House will be no less ___________ than it was before Bannon’s ouster. No policies have changed. No change of heart by Trump on any subject. The likely reason Bannon was fired was not pressuring from the outside to remove white supremacists from Trump’s sphere. If that were the reason, stopping with Bannon would leave the job barely started. It was giving an interview where Bannon acknowledged his power to make changes in the State Department which made Trump look weak, meaning his jealous master had to be rid of him.

Too Little Too Late

It is reasonable to be glad Bannon is gone. Don’t even think about slowing down the resistance because nothing has changed, So we must press on!

Making America White Again

They never really pretended to be anything other than we thought they were. Trump, Sessions, Bannon, Flynn, Miller and the Trump sons. They all gloried in their “nationalism” and catered openly to the alt-right, alt-light and straight up white supremacists. The Neo-Nazi memes they loved to retweet. They are who we thought they were.

Despite the assertion that the Trump Presidency has accomplished next to nothing. In a couple areas they’ve been highly effective. They definitively answered the question he once asked Black people, “What the hell do you have to lose?”

The reason that the right-wing base of the Republican Party is in an uproar over the potential firing of Jeff Sessions is that he’s been doing exactly what they hoped for. Sessions has effectively reversed the efforts of the Obama administration to fight voter suppression. In Texas, where a Federal Judge found an intent to discriminate against minorities and possibly invoke even the weakened Voting Rights Act. Sessions made it go away and the Justice Department is basically saying, “no harm, no foul.” Texas did promise to rewrite the law and make it nicer while still suppressing minority votes.

Sessions also promised to stop providing Federal oversight over local police forces. He will no longer pursue consent decrees and negotiate with local cops to do better. He even tried with no success to void the existing consent decrees in Baltimore and Ferguson.

Not done yet, Sessions is ramping up to sue Colleges and Universities over their Affirmative Action programs. Many of these programs have in effect put a ceiling on minority enrolment and only exist because minorities once couldn’t get into those schools at all. The base cries of “reverse-racism” have found receptive ears in the Trump Administration. These Federal attacks won’t be handled by the career lawyers that normally monitor these matters but by the political wing that needs to accomplish something given the failure to impose the strict Muslim Ban and take millions off healthcare.

Every time Trump suffers a political defeat he comes after the people his base dislikes to distract from his failures. Right after the healthcare failure came the Transgender Ban from military service. Given the daily leaking news about Russia matters; the attacks on minorities, gays and immigrants will be fast and furious.

With the relaxation on EPA rules and failure to regulate pollution. If you live in a Black community whose water is contaminated, good luck getting Federal help. Stop & Frisk is still on Trump’s agenda and that Voting Commission Trump empaneled means minorities no good. With the signing of the Russian sanctions bill that Congress forced on him. Trump came back with an immigration policy favoring “English speaking” people. A reporter called Bannon acolyte Stephen Miller out on an immigration policy that basically favors England and Australia.

America was never a white country but the power has been held by white people for quite some time. Changing demographics where the relatively near future will see white people become a minority is causing some to use every trick in the book to hold that power. Gerrymandering, redistricting, voter suppression, immigration policy and a Supreme Court willing to bless it all. This is why that Trump base that sticks with him no matter what, rises above their shame and backs him. It’s because they’ve asked themselves… what do we have to lose.

Royal Rumble At The White House (Round One)

“Sessions is hanging on with his fans in the Senate, right wing media and the Klan urging him to hang on.”

  • Contains Explicit Language

Round One Recap:

Trump went after Sessions in an all-out attack from all sides. He blistered him on Twitter, in interviews and even during a press conference with a foreign leader. He tried to force him into submission but Sessions is hanging on with his fans in the Senate, right wing media and the Klan urging him to hang on. Only the bell saved him from the Trump choke hold but Trump is glaring at him from across the ring as round two is ready to begin.

Newcomer Anthony Scaramucci (The Mooch) used a sneak attack on Reince Priebus, Steve Bannon and all leakers who he’s promised to root out, even if he has to fire everybody and start fresh. He called Reince, “a fucking paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac.” He promised to refer Priebus to the FBI on felony charges. He said, “I’m not Steve Bannon, I’m not trying to suck my own cock.” About the leakers he said, “What I want to do is kill all the fucking leakers and I want to get the President’s agenda on track so we can succeed for the American people.

In other action, Jared has thrown Donald Trump, Jr under the bus. Bannon is waiting to take on the winner of that match. Kellyanne is shouting something but no one is listening and Ivanka missed the first round because she was consulting a criminal attorney. Tillerson, the former National Chairman of the Boy Scouts of America is fuming about Trump’s recent Jamboree speech but hasn’t entered the ring. Mattis is equally upset about Trump’s kicking Transgendered people out of the military by Tweet although none of the Armed Services are obeying the President. Round Two is scheduled to begin with a series of Trump tweets at 6:30 AM Eastern

Update: In a viscous knockout, Scaramucci kicks Priebus to the curb and he’s replaced by Gen. Kelly, formerly of Homeland Security. Priebus was still on Air Force One with Trump when he tweeted out the decision.

I Finally Agree With Donald Trump

After constant railing against all things Trump. I’m inspired to change tactics. It’s been proven time after time that Trump listens to the last person that talks to him and that he likes it when people say nice things about him. I can’t necessarily be last but I can talk nice and finally found something I can agree with him on.

It’s being reported that Trump has been disgusted with Jeff Sessions ever since he recused himself from the FBI investigation against Donald and many of his administration. He believes that there would be no Special Counsel or constantly expanding investigations had Sessions simply played his role and stifled all that stuff which was what he was appointed for in the first place.

Attorney General

So yes Donald… you’re right. Had it not been for the ungrateful Jeff Sessions. You’d be spending your time banning Muslims, destroying health care and granting huge tax cuts to yourself, your family and rich friends. I agree with what in your genius you must have already thought of. You should fire Jeff Sessions who bailed on you instead of standing firm on the one thing he was hired to do. Protect your flabby behind.

While you’re at it. Try to remove his entire legacy like his name was Obama. Roll back the hyper mass incarceration he’s already reinstated. Undo the new levels of deportation and ICE raids along the border. Stop trying to void all the Consent Decrees between Cities and their police departments. Go with your gut Donald. You got this!
